Tips on How to Use
The School Library Link
at Your School:

1) Simply print it out and send it home with students once a month. Easy!

2) The newsletter is in color, but to save money, you can print it out once, then duplicate it in black and white. Print it on colorful paper instead.

3) "Link" (get it?) the newsletter to your library by attaching a sticker with your library's contact information on page 2 under in the "Next month" area on the bottom right side. (See the latest edition of the newsletter.)

4) Attach a second page, or even a postcard, if you want to send home information about your upcoming events, new books in the library, or calls for fundraising or volunteers.

5) Don't have money in the budget for copying, or don't want to use more paper? Link the latest issue to your school library Web site, your online catalog site, or to your school's Web site. Or, begin an opt-in email list for parents to receive the newsletter by email. The newsletter will be available in PDF format you can attach, and also in HTML text format.

6) If nothing is online at your school, consider adding a submission to your school's print newsletter: "Help your kids get the most out of the information explosion: Visit http://www.theschoollibrarylink.com."
